Make The Change

E-mail Print PDF

By making one change you can make a substantial impact on the lives of millions.
Find your cause and make a difference.
On this website you will find changes that people are making all over North America – and to make a difference all you have to do is commit to one –
one a day – one a month – one a year…
We are all in different places in our lives, which may limit how much change we can accommodate at once… so focus on one change.

There will be monthly challenges put out for people to try – including “Green on a Dime,” a cost effective, quick change with a high impact.

Take the challenge and leave a comment about how successful you were – was it hard or easy?

We are all a part of the current global issues of poverty, human trafficking, child exploitation, war/nations in conflict, global warming, deforestation, rapid decline in bio-diversity, garbage, sewage… no matter how far removed you feel… it is our responsibility to the world to make the change…

Tell us how you made the change… (email your story to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it )

Join Four Seasons of Green and follow along as a mother and her two children embark on a quest to change the North American perspective about an individual’s power to affect global change.

This is the journey of a suburban family taking the challenge to reduce their carbon footprint by becoming environmentally responsible for their own waste and bi-products as well as socially accountable through their consumer habits.

The point of this project is to show other families and individuals living in urban and suburban environments, that there are many small ways to affect substantial change. The power is not within the Government, the World Bank, or the United Nations. Nor is it in environmental and social organizations. It is within each individual. With every decision that a person makes daily; what soap they use, where they purchase their clothing, how they travel to work, what food they eat…  they have the power to condone or condemn the state of the environment and social injustice that occur not only locally (with increasing poverty rates, loss of housing, and food insecurity), but globally as well (in the form of child labour and child soldiers, abuse, infection/disease with no access to proper medical treatment, limited access to water and poor water treatment,  starvation,  limited or NO sanitation, human rights violations…).

Each person has the power to be as great as Albert Einstien, Mother Theresa, Mahatma Ghandi, Rosa Parks,
Nelson Mandala, The 14th Dalai Lama, Aung San Suu Kyi, Rachel Carson, David Suzuki, Erin Brockovich….

The question is do you have the courage to try?
