Come out and learn from local politicians, activists, and environmentalists about Green in your community...
Display tables will offer practical opportunities for families and individuals to participate in greening initiatives on a personal level
Lots of interactive activities for kids to be involved in:
Henna, Interactive Music with Instruments, Crafts, Puppets...
It is about showcasing the environmental and social justice initiatives happening in York Region and giving families with some suggestions on how they can make the change - one decision at a time.
Town Councillor Joe Sponga, Regional Councillor John Taylor will both be there talking about the projects they are involved in.
There will be talks about community gardens, social justice issues on Georgina Island Reserve, composting...
Musical performances by Dulcimerhead and musical interactives with Native Song Carrier Jake Charles,
Eco- music with Environmental Professor Clare Magee...
And many engaging displays to answer:
what does organic mean? nuclear power is not clean energy?
how do I save money while going green? how do I make your own household cleaning products...
