For example... How can one person make a difference against a conglomeration the size of Nestle? We joined the boycott over 2 years ago. It is the largest and longest running boycott, and has Global participation. I encourage you to do your own research. Look at the companies you buy from regularly. Do they use fair trade practices? Do they use slave labour or human trafficking for that product to reach you? What about their environmental standards? How much packaging do they use? Here is a good tip: Buy Local: from a small company you know and trust. Change is not something that can happen all at once. It is about one small change at a time. Make a choice... make a change. Let that small change settle in, make sure it sticks before you try to make another. |
