Feb 20, 2009 Seneca College King Campus hosted their annual Aboriginal Art Show.
A Variety of artists from across Canada (now residing in Toronto) had pieces for sale. From paintings and sketches to textiles, a diverse display of culture was available to students and visitors. The artists all took time to share the meaning, inspiration and cultural influences behind their artwork. This annual event is only one of many available to the public in Canada and the USA. Below are some links to get you started on our journey to support our communities in developing art, music, dance and culture. Many communities offer public events to share their heritage. Make some time this year to attend at least one event - what a beautiful way to get to know your neighbour... Native Canadian Centre of TorontoGathering of Drums April 18 & 19, 2009 |
